Seafood Takoyaki

Our seafood batter premix flour makes it easy to make “Crispy Fried Mussels Omelet” (Hoi Tod) at home. This popular street food is usually made with seafood, such as mussels, oysters and squid. The batter adds the crispiness to the omelet which goes well with sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Usually, “Hoi Tod” is made on a large flat pan to get a thin layer of batter for a crispy texture. For those who like a softer texture, Golden Coins Brand would like to introduce a Japanese twist to the dish by using a Takoyaki pan instead. Please follow our recipe below.

  • Ice cold water 240 ml
  • Seasoning powder 150 g
  • Egg 3 pieces
  • Mussels or Shrimp or Squid As per liking
  • Bean sprouts As per liking
  • Chopped spring onion As per liking
  • Vegetable oil
